Roger GIFFIN® MACRO
The Macro was designed as a full-sized version of the Micro. I like the Micro’s sleek design, but because of the Micro’s diminutive size, it does not suit everybody.
Another goal with the Macro guitar was to have a full-size instrument that would retain the weight of the smaller Micro guitar (under 6 lbs.)
The main constructional difference between the Macro and the Standard apart from it’s obvious difference in design,
is that the Macro is a neck-thru and the Standard is a set-neck. This gives the guitar a slightly different sound character.
The Macro shown here is built with a lightweight Philippine Mahogany body and neck with graphite reinforcements and a Curly Maple top.
It has a dark Indian Rosewood fingerboard and head veneer. Pickups are Kent Armstrong Humbuckers (PAF), and a TonePros wrap-around bridge.
